Job Summary
Drive the medical strategy for surgical product development in Ophthalmology, focusing on strategy development, management, and implementation for Phase IIIB/IV studies. Support execution of comprehensive Medical Affairs strategic plans and develop regional medical affairs strategy for the assigned therapeutic area. Provide medical and scientific support for product messaging, claims development, post market/phase IV studies, and launch strategies including lifecycle management and indication expansion. Develop content for whitepapers, peer-reviewed manuscripts, posters, and video scripts while managing customer medical inquiries with KOLs and healthcare providers. Maintain peer-to-peer relationships with medical experts and scientific communities using evidence-based materials, support planning for medical advisory board meetings, and provide fair-balanced educational information to healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
- Advanced clinical degree (OD preferred; MD ophthalmologist preferred) in combination strong clinical research experience
- Minimum: technical/scientific degree (i.e.MS/PhD) in the life sciences with solid knowledge in assigned ophthalmic therapeutic area
- 7 Years of Relevant Experience
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- Estimated travel requirements - 10%
- The location of the position is flexible within Europe
