Job Summary
Execute all market research projects supporting brand strategy, including identifying needs, selecting vendors, designing studies, and interpreting results. Lead end-to-end quantitative and qualitative research while managing budgets, schedules, and corporate policies. Synthesize information from multiple sources to develop actionable insights tailored to commercial teams and senior leadership. Collaborate across functions to address business questions, recommend approaches, and deliver integrated recommendations that drive strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical market research experience at consulting firms, market research vendor/agency companies, or pharmaceutical companies
- Strong understanding of all types of market research methodologies, with experience conducting both quantitative and qualitative market research from end-to-end
- Strong quantitative analytical skills
- Data analysis and statistics
- Proven ability to recommend, plan and lead market research projects
- Demonstrated expertise in incorporating AI into research methodologies and processes to drive efficiency and deep insights
- Strong strategic thinking ability, with understanding of the life-sciences industry
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to balance multiple projects/priorities
- Knowledge and experience with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., prescription and sales data, patient claims data, promotional audits)
- Experience working directly within or partnering with related functions (new product planning, marketing, value & access)
- Ability to effectively influence in a highly matrixed environment
- Ability to effectively and confidently communicate to various audiences, including senior leadership
- Ability to synthesize complex ideas to simple
- Ability to develop brand implications from market research findings
- Strong learning agility and high degree of curiosity
- Strong focus on detail, accuracy, and ability to solve problems through analytical reasoning
- Ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment and flex and pivot as the business requires
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, MD, PhD)
- Candidates with an advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) may be considered with a minimum of 3 years of relevant market research experience in the above settings
- Experience with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., prescription and sales data, patient claims data, promotional audits) preferred
- Strong strategic thinking ability, with understanding of the life-sciences industry
