Associate Director Market Access and Public Affairs DACH (m/f/d)

Job Summary

Coordinate and execute Idorsia's access strategy implementation, overseeing dossier writing, timelines, and risks for defined therapeutic areas. Ensure local fit of product value propositions to secure ideal pricing and reimbursement scenarios while representing the company vis-à-vis local external agencies, pharma associations, and patient advocacy groups. Actively contribute to the conceptual development and implementation of country Market Access and Public Affairs strategies, regularly exchanging information with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Monitor regional policy environments, understand key healthcare trends, and build long-term relationships throughout the DACH organization and with external counterparts. Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements while driving this culture locally.

Required Qualifications

  • Successfully completed a degree ideally in health economics, pharmacy, or science, or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 7 years of successful professional experience in DACH Market Access
  • 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Profound knowledge and broad experience of Market Access
  • German AMNOG is a must
  • Proven knowledge and experience in market access, pricing and reimbursement activities across DACH markets through pre-launch to in-market phases
  • Strong knowledge of the German (DACH) health care system
  • Clear understanding of health economic contexts, especially regarding innovative specialty pharmaceuticals
  • Strong understanding of current health policy issues and possible future developments
  • Experienced in working in cross-functional teams
  • Taking the lead for personal area of responsibility
  • Strong project leadership, project management and vendor management skills
  • Demonstrated influencing, advisory and business partner skills
  • Track record working in a fast-paced environment
  • German and English fluent in writing and speaking is a must

Desired Qualifications

  • equivalent qualification (to degree in health economics, pharmacy, or science)
  • Switzerland market access experience (an advantage)
  • experience in an innovative specialty pharma environment
  • Willing and able to regularly contribute knowledge and expertise to the Market Access Team with a proactive approach
