Job Summary

Lead operations development, execution, and monitoring to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and performance improvements while maintaining compliance with Company, Federal, State, and local regulations. Drive continuous safety improvement across process safety management, ergonomics, facilities, and equipment, and ensure adherence to GMP, CFR, and ISO standards through training and quality assurance principles. Oversee yearly budget establishment and goal communication to drive business outcomes, while collaborating cross-functionally with R&D, HR, Q.A., Finance, Materials, and Marketing. Evolve the BD Production System and expand Kaizen to reduce zero loss, increase OEE, enhance asset reliability, and optimize product cost. Provide leadership to foster an inclusive, diverse work environment that promotes a speak-up culture and growth mindset. This full-time role in Sumter, SC requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years in operations management, and 15+ years total manufacturing experience. Base salary ranges from $160,000 to $170,000.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field)
  • 5+ years in Operations Management experience
  • 5+ years of Cross Functional experience in one of the following: Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Continuous Improvement, or Finance
  • Minimum of 15 years of total manufacturing experience
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written) and social skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, teach, & train
  • Organized & systems / process driven
  • Detail oriented with high level of problem solving and analytical skills
  • Results & solution oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
  • Solid discernment as it relates to P&L
  • General understanding of GMP, ISO, OSHA & EAP requirements
  • Flexibility to support presence on all shifts
  • Ability to follow applicable quality regulations as identified by the organization
  • Role requires occasional light physical effort (e.g., prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping reaching and/or lifting of items up to 30 lbs.)

Desired Qualifications

  • It is preferred that the role was at the supervisor and/or manager level
  • Experience with high cavity injection molding, high speed automated manufacturing, rubber compounding, and part forming
  • Knowledge of implementing and running production systems, change, driving cost improvements, and increasing efficiencies
  • Demonstrated ability in leading cross functional teams and tactical planning sessions
