Job Summary
Associate Director leads life sciences strategy and transformation consulting engagements, managing projects from cultivation to completion, directing project teams, and guiding client relationships. Responsibilities include developing and managing work plans, staffing, deadlines, and budgets; delivering high-quality client-ready work; leading team meetings; coaching staff consultants; collaborating with Directors/Managing Directors; contributing to sales initiatives and practice development; and traveling up to 30% to client sites. Key skills and focus areas include product planning, pricing, reimbursement, product commercialization, regulatory and compliance solutions; deep pharma/biotech knowledge; proficiency with market sizing, segmentation, forecasting, and budget planning; experience with pharma datasets (CMS, EvaluatePharma, IQVIA, Veeva, etc.); strong analytical capabilities (Excel, Access); and ability to drive senior-level strategic recommendations and client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Business or related course of study
- Minimum 6+ years of prior relevant consulting or work experience with large global pharma, mid-sized pharma and/or biotech clients
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including drug development and launch
- Experience advising brand leaders, business unit leaders, and supporting insights & analytics leaders in pharma to support portfolio strategy, commercialization strategy and launch preparation
- Experience with market sizing, HCP segmentation, patient journey, forecasting, brand strategy, commercial model design, sales force sizing, marketing mix and budget planning
- Experience with key Pharma datasets – CMS, EvaluatePharma, IQVIA/Symphony/Komodo, Veeva activity data
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight; project ownership of workstreams and analytics; mentoring others
- Excellent communication skills to convey strategic recommendations to senior management
- 5+ years leading project engagements including planning, scoping, budgeting, and multi-workstream management
- 3+ years formal management of team performance to achieve project goals
- Willingness to travel to client sites across the US, up to 30%
- Authorized/eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship
