Associate Director - Land Development

Associate Director - Land Development at Atwell leads a dynamic, multi-disciplinary land development practice, guiding growth, client relationships, and team leadership. Responsibilities include establishing business objectives, developing annual business plans, managing department goals, driving business development, cultivating client relationships, pursuing future opportunities, and ensuring project profitability. Oversee project management tasks such as AR collections, contract value vs. effort, change orders, monthly invoicing, risk management through contract and licensing compliance, and supervision of invoices and subcontractors. Ensure adherence to standards, promote templates, manage survey equipment and fleet, and justify technology improvements. Communicate with employees, support performance management, training, mentorship, staffing, onboarding, and safety. Maintain professional knowledge through workshops and industry engagement, foster internal collaboration, and support onboarding and HR processes. Requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, PE licensure, 8+ years of experience, and AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency; Illinois experience is preferred.
