Job Summary
Associate Director, Communications Design leads the development of the detailed communications plan and orchestrates the translation of the idea approach into a market-ready communications architecture, collaborating with the Director, Communications Design to present a holistic strategy. You will manage day-to-day client workflows, oversee design-team outputs, educate clients on marketplace trends, and contribute to KPI delivery and growth across owned, earned, shared, and paid channels. The role requires experience in integrated planning (media, publisher/vendor, or digital/content), strong relationship-building, exceptional written and verbal communication, time-management, and proficiency with MS Office. 6+ years of relevant experience with at least 3+ years in a supervisory capacity is expected, with responsibilities spanning strategic planning, stakeholder management, and collaboration with partners to deliver impactful, culturally-rich communications plans.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in an integrated planning role in media, publisher / vendor, or communications discipline (digital, content)
- Ability to delegate and oversee direct reports
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Required PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- 6+ years relevant experience with 3+ years managing or developing staff
