Job Summary
Associate Director in Data Science, Digital Endpoints leading development of digital biomarkers and ML-driven endpoints for clinical trials. Build and validate time-series, multimodal data pipelines from wearables/sensors/apps, embed digital health tech in evidence generation, contribute to regulatory filings/publications, and explore emergent AI paradigms (LLMs/agentic AI) to support data interpretation and automation. Drive scientific rigor, regulatory readiness, and integration within global R&D across Healthcare, Life Science, and related therapeutic areas. Requires PhD and 7+ years in pharma/AI with a proven track record in digital endpoints and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., data science, computer science, biomedical engineering, statistics, physics, or related field) with a focus on large-scale data analysis
- minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, digital endpoints, AI/ML or related industry
- proven track record in designing and validating digital endpoints or biomarkers for clinical applications
- hands-on experience processing and analyzing large-scale data streams from digital health technologies (wearables, sensors, smartphones, connected medical devices)
- experience building machine learning pipelines for time-series and multimodal sensor data
- strong expertise in digital biomarker/endpoint development with psychometric and statistical validation and regulatory aspects
- solid understanding of modern ML/AI methods (deep learning, representation learning, time-series modeling)
- experience with scalable data processing and ML frameworks (Python data ecosystem, distributed data processing, cloud/HPC)
- familiarity with generative AI and large language models (LLMs) and interest in agentic AI systems
- excellent stakeholder management and communication/writing skills
