Job Summary

Develop and execute fundraising strategies for Take Steps and special events, partnering with leadership volunteers to drive revenue growth and meet campaign goals. Recruit, engage, and manage high-level volunteer leaders and committees while cultivating corporate, healthcare, and community partnerships to maximize impact. Oversee event day logistics, budget management, and production of collateral materials, ensuring best practices are implemented across all programs. Conduct planning meetings with the Executive Director and volunteers to evaluate event success and address community needs within the Nashville metropolitan area. This role supports the Foundation's mission to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis through accelerated research and patient advocacy.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of successful not-for-profit fundraising, preferably with a health-related organization
  • Demonstrated leadership success in the recruitment, engagement, and cultivation of high-impact volunteers
  • Demonstrated track record in committee development within fundraising campaigns
  • Demonstrated track record of successful fundraising experience that includes special events, corporate/foundation giving, donor cultivation and recognition, donor records and acknowledgement
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, generate revenue and analyze data to drive results and revenue growth
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with public speaking ability that will inspire and motivate others
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to teach, mentor and coach volunteers to achieve results
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with staff, board members, volunteers and donors
  • Self-motivated, results oriented leader with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a budget
  • Skillful in balancing multiple and competing priorities
  • Proven capability of working with a variety of personality and leadership styles in a matrixed organization, and externally with volunteers and partners
  • High level of diplomacy, patience, and flexibility
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft suite and other technology, communications, and donor platforms
  • Candidates to live in the Nashville metropolitan area
