Job Summary
Lead the Indiana Adult Education program within the Department of Workforce Development as Assistant Director, responsible for guiding team strategy, setting state priorities, managing performance and reporting for WIOA Title II, and serving as the primary liaison to sub-grantees and stakeholders. Oversee policy, performance, budgeting, and staff for the unit, supervise personnel, ensure compliance with applicable laws and rules, coordinate with other government officials, and engage with media and public relations. Requires ability to develop plans and policies, build strong working relationships with public and private leaders, and provide effective leadership and feedback to staff. A degree is not required.
