Job Summary
Lead and manage a fire engineering team within a Defence-focused portfolio, oversee delivery of large, complex Defence projects, provide specialised technical input across studies and designs, mentor staff toward Chartership, and drive client relationships and business growth within a multi-disciplinary design consultancy environment.
Required Qualifications
- BEng/MEng or MSc in fire science, fire engineering or similar
- Membership in relevant professional institutions, such as MIFireE and/or certifications from NFPA, such as CFPE
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Institution of Fire Engineering
- Extensive experience in a large, multi-disciplinary environment
- Proficiency with fire engineering tools such as FDS, SFE, and evacuation modelling software
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK standards and guidance (e.g., BS 9991/9999/9992, HTM 05-02, BB100) and Defence standards (JSP 80, DIFS)
- UK national preferred; security clearance desirable
- PhD or international standards experience considered
- BEng/MEng or MSc qualifications
- Hybrid working model experience and ability to lead teams and manage Defence-related projects
