Job Summary
Supervise the Facilities Department at Milton Park, managing building systems, utilities, and third-party contractors to ensure cGMP compliance and operational readiness. Coordinate maintenance schedules, oversee waste management protocols, and lead the site call-out team for out-of-hours response and business continuity. Serve as the primary liaison with external vendors, local authorities, and the landlord while managing projects, budgets, and team development. Support cGMP investigations and audits, ensuring the function remains audit-ready and aligned with site quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- A BA or BSc in Engineering, Science, or equivalent related discipline
- Minimum 4 years building management experience in a relevant work environment
- cGMP experience
- Minimum 1-year demonstrable experience in line management and development of individuals and teams
- Field experience in building management systems, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing
- Experience of managing electrical safety including periodic inspection, PAT testing and Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Health and Safety training
- Experience acting as Fire Safety Manager
- cGMP training and documentation experience
- Experience with biological and chemical waste management
- Experience with Asset management software (Blue Mountain or similar)
- Demonstrated experience operating in highly cross-functional environments
- Ability to build relationships at all levels across the organization
- Good communication and organization skills
- Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- 5-day on-site expectation
