Associate Director, Equipment Operations

Job Summary
Oversee the management and administration of the athletics equipment operation for assigned sports at UCF, including budgeting, purchasing, inventory, staffing, and laundry. Coordinate selection, fitting, and disposal of sports equipment to meet safety standards (NOCSAE/OSHA) and collaborate with coaches, suppliers, student-athletes, and sports medicine staff on equipment/apparel needs, NIL programming, and future uniform design within branding guidelines. Manage daily equipment room operations, conduct regular inventories, reconcile equipment/apparel accounts, supervise student staff, and support site setup/breakdown for practices and games. Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules, and coordinate with internal units and vendors on equipment needs, recruiting support, and related programming. Prepare and maintain equipment budgets, research best practices, and support vendor relations; may require evening/weekend/holiday work and occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years appropriate experience
- AEMA certification or certified within the first year
