Job Summary
Conduct initial reviews of engagement team work papers and documentation for specific audit areas in accordance with PCAOB auditing standards and related rules. Assist in reviewing procedures related to accounting processes, including walkthroughs and flowcharts, while reviewing financial statements and conducting inquiries with the engagement team. Summarize review results and present them to EQCR team members and the engagement team. Drive the EQCR Team's work plan, ensuring review schedules align with individual engagement due dates and liaising with stakeholders. Stay informed about PCAOB standards and US firm methodology developments.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of PCAOB auditing standards and related rules and regulations
- Knowledge of PCAOB and SEC independence standards
- Ability to perform initial reviews of engagement team's work papers and documentation
- Ability to review walkthroughs/flowcharts during the understanding phase
- Ability to review relevant activities, controls, and substantive audit responses
- Ability to review financial statements
- Ability to conduct inquiries and confirmations with the engagement team
- Ability to summarize results of review and present them to EQCR team members and the engagement team
- Ability to drive the EQCR Team's specific work plan
- Ability to ensure schedules for all reviews are in line with individual engagement due dates
- Ability to liaise with the engagement team
- Ability to engage in interactions with the engagement team, EQCR Team members, and other stakeholders
- Stay informed about various PCAOB standards and US firm methodology and other developments relevant to the audit
