Associate Director – Electrical Engineer

Job Summary
Lead electrical engineering design and delivery for major building projects across healthcare, education, transport, event centres, and data centres. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to multidisciplinary project teams while acting as Project Manager or Discipline Lead to ensure delivery to programme, budget, and quality objectives. Develop strong client relationships as a trusted technical advisor and support business development activities including proposal preparation and project interviews. Coordinate closely with mechanical, structural, civil, architecture, and specialist consultants to deliver integrated engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with Irish and international design standards. Lead design reviews, value engineering workshops, and risk management activities while overseeing project resourcing, financial performance, and commercial management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards chartership through a recognised professional institution
- Extensive experience in building services electrical engineering consultancy
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on large, complex projects
- Strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, electrical design standards, and relevant international codes
- Demonstrated experience managing project finances, programmes, and client relationships
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
