Associate Director - Ecology

Job Summary
Lead ecological projects for WSP, collaborating with the Regional Director and Team Leader to manage workload and ensure technical quality; generate opportunities, prepare tenders, and oversee delivery of ecological deliverables; provide site- and office-based support to mentor junior team members; foster a collaborative, productive environment and contribute to the wider ecology industry; develop and apply ecological, project-management and consultancy skills while supporting client needs and regulatory compliance; contribute to landmark projects worldwide and help shape the future of the ecology team at WSP.
Required Qualifications
- Experience across a range of UK habitats and protected species
- Licence(s) for survey and/or mitigation (held or held previously)
- Experience of Ecological Impact Assessment
- Experience of Habitat Regulations Assessment
- Experience of winning work from commercial clients (residential, mixed use, industrial sectors)
- Ability to lead, mentor and develop ecologists of all grades
