Job Summary
Design and maintain data Lakehouse solutions using Google BigQuery and Vertex AI to democratize data across the organization. Lead the development of robust streaming, batch, and API pipelines for efficient data collection, transformation, and analysis while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Establish monitoring frameworks to guarantee pipeline reliability and enforce security policies throughout departmental activities. Mentor a team of data engineers, conduct code reviews, and document solutions to ensure operational knowledge is accessible. Collaborate with Data Scientists and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical data solutions, managing data catalogs and lineage for secure sharing. Requires 10+ years of experience with Google Cloud technologies including Data Fusion, DataFlow, and Cloud Composer.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing data pipelines using Google Cloud or other public cloud platforms
- Deep expertise in Google Cloud technologies such as BigQuery, Data Fusion, DataForm, DataFlow, Cloud Composer, DataPlex, Dataproc, and Analytics Hub
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, including security, compliance, and privacy by design
- Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification
- Bachelors degree from a recognized university
