Job Summary
Senior APAC counsel role focused on advising the APAC commercial team, primarily in China, on a broad range of contracts and regulatory matters. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating sales-related commercial contracts and bespoke agreements for large opportunities; maintaining APAC commercial templates; coordinating with finance, leadership, and regulatory teams; supporting litigation, export/trade compliance, and corporate secretarial matters; providing pragmatic legal advice to enable growth across APAC while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and governance.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified corporate and/or commercial lawyer with at least 3 years PQE
- Ideally with China legal degree with a plus for a UK or US legal LLM
- Experience supporting commercial contracting in the life sciences or technology sectors
- Ideally, at least one year’s experience in a major law firm and one year’s experience in-house
- Strong written and oral communication skills – ideally in English and Mandarin
- Attitude/Other: self-starter, able to work independently and in a team, travel willing
