Job Summary

Lead and develop Cost Control teams on complex defence infrastructure programmes, drive continuous improvement of cost control processes and reporting, provide subject-matter expertise in Cost Control (including EVM, forecast to complete, EAC), and mentor the Cost Controller group. Collaborate with Finance, Commercial and Project Managers to align project information, implement cost control changes, and deliver regular cost reports. Desirable familiarity with NEC contracts, cost-control tools, and a Defence environment. The role requires leadership, a solid understanding of Earned Value Management, MS Excel proficiency, and the ability to obtain security clearance. Hybrid work arrangement in Bristol, UK with client/site time as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in a Lead Cost Control role with management responsibility
  • Extensive experience of working within a project environment
  • Intermediate to advanced Earned Value Management (EVM) understanding
  • Experience in implementing Cost Control processes and procedures
  • Demonstratable team leadership experience
  • A relevant Cost Control qualification, such as NEC contracts or ECITB/APM (Desirable)

  • Hybrid working with ~60% on client sites/offices in the UK
