Job Summary
Associate Director, Corporate Communications at Bumble Inc. leads crisis & issues management, trust & safety communications, and corporate affairs narratives. Responsible for shaping how Bumble communicates with media, policymakers, investors, and employees, translating complex policy and safety updates into accessible messaging, developing issues preparedness frameworks and response playbooks, and overseeing engagement with external stakeholders. Partners with Legal, Trust & Safety, Product, and Investor Relations; supervises the corporate communications agency; leverages AI tools to enhance monitoring, research, drafting, and insight generation while upholding ethical and privacy standards. Requires high-visibility, fast-paced execution, strong writing and editorial skills, and experience advising senior leaders; reports to the VP of Communications.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience in corporate, crisis, or trust & safety communications
- Advanced AI fluency — independently leveraging AI tools to enhance research, monitoring, drafting, and insight generation while applying strong ethical judgment and protecting sensitive information
- Exceptional writing and editorial skills with strong tone, clarity, and multi-stakeholder alignment across media, investors, and policymakers
- Experience partnering with Legal and Investor Relations, with familiarity around public company disclosure dynamics
- Ability to translate policy, safety, and regulatory topics into clear, credible communications and to advise senior leadership
