Job Summary
We are seeking an Associate Director, Cloud FinOps to lead the financial strategy for our cloud investments, transforming costs into a predictable engine for innovation. Responsibilities include driving cultural change for cost ownership, architecting governance systems with resource tagging, optimizing cloud spend, leading negotiations with vendors, and providing strategic forecasting and budgeting. Candidates should have 7+ years in Cloud FinOps, mastery of AWS cost structures, strong analytical skills, technical credibility, and experience in large-scale negotiations.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in dedicated Cloud FinOps or Cloud Financial Management roles
- Deep expertise in AWS cost structures
- Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills
- Proven ability to partner with engineering teams
- Demonstrable experience leading or participating in large-scale commercial negotiations
- Track record of designing and building a Cloud FinOps practice
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with scripting (e.g., Python/Bash)
- Experience with third-party tools (e.g., Vantage, CloudHealth)
