Job Summary
Lead strategic drug sourcing initiatives supporting global clinical trials by developing sourcing frameworks, governance models, and decision-making processes. Drive comparator sourcing innovation, supplier ecosystem development, and process optimization to enhance operational scalability. Partner with Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Finance, and external partners to establish sourcing intelligence, knowledge management, and best-practice sharing mechanisms. Evaluate and implement AI-enabled solutions and workflow automation with Digital and Technology teams. Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership on sourcing strategy and future capability development while mentoring cross-functional team members. Conduct industry benchmarking to identify emerging sourcing models and innovation opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical supply chain, sourcing, procurement, strategy, or operational excellence functions
- Strong understanding of global clinical trial operations and comparator sourcing
- Experience leading complex global and cross-functional initiatives
- 8+ years with a Bachelors degree
- 6+ years with Masters degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
- Experience with procurement, contract management, sourcing, ERP, and supplier management systems
- Knowledge of regulatory, quality, GxP, import/export, and global supply chain requirements
- Demonstrated capability in business process design, governance development, and organizational transformation
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills within matrix organizations
- Up to 5% domestic and international travel
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with data analytics, dashboarding, workflow automation, and AI-enabled business tools
- Experience working with enterprise digital platforms and knowledge management solutions
- Experience with digital transformation, AI adoption, process automation, or knowledge management initiatives
