Job Summary

Strengthen AECOM's position as a leader in climate change risk assessment and adaptation strategies for infrastructure and business clients across the UK and EMEA. Work with practice leadership to develop resilient service offerings and lead commercially successful projects that maintain high-quality professional outputs. Contribute to the delivery of the business plan by winning work with new and existing clients in sectors including energy, transport, water, and government. Develop team talent through line management, mentoring, and supporting colleagues' upskilling on climate resilience and adaptation.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in developing climate change resilience and adaptation strategies at an organisational level
  • Experience interpreting climate observation and projection data
  • Experience in climate change risk assessment of infrastructure systems and assets
  • Developing/designing adaptation and resilient solutions (incl. engineered and natural solutions) for infrastructure
  • Advice to infrastructure sectors such as including transport, water/wastewater, waste, energy, urban infrastructure, government, local government, etc
  • Proven track record in winning and delivering climate change risk assessment and adaptation strategies for infrastructure, urban/regional and/or business clients both in the UK and overseas
  • Experience with climate change adaptation projects
  • Strong understanding of the role that infrastructure interventions, spatial planning and governance play to increase sustainability and resilience of development
  • All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in developing climate change resilience and adaptation strategies at an organisational level, ideally with experience interpreting climate observation and projection data
  • Experience in climate change risk assessment of infrastructure systems and assets, including developing/designing adaptation and resilient solutions (incl. engineered and natural solutions) for infrastructure
  • Experience including advice to infrastructure sectors such as including transport, water/wastewater, waste, energy, urban infrastructure, government, local government, etc
  • Ideally, proven track record in winning and delivering climate change risk assessment and adaptation strategies for infrastructure, urban/regional and/or business clients both in the UK and overseas
  • Experience with climate change adaptation projects and strong understanding of the role that infrastructure interventions, spatial planning and governance play to increase sustainability and resilience of development
