Job Summary
Draft, negotiate, and execute agreements with universities, biotech firms, and government partners to advance discovery research and protect intellectual property. Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, and operations teams to manage licensing, study, and collaboration agreements while ensuring freedom to operate. Lead the LKR team in utilizing SAP/COMET for vendor management and contract entry, capturing payment information and maintaining compliance records. Drive results by setting performance standards, making timely decisions on major agreement points, and participating in monthly senior staff and best practices meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in science/law
- Minimum of 5 years experience in contract negotiation
- fundamental understanding of legal concepts and contract terminology
- Understanding of basic and clinical science
- Understanding of academic, biotech and pharma business
- Solid understanding of the drug development process
- Solid understanding of enterprise-wide strategic initiatives
- Strong and demonstrable history of working collegially and constructively with internal partners and external collaborators
