Job Summary

Associate Director leads the ALM team for asset liability management, overseeing ALM-related analysis and reporting (EBS analyses, discount rate production, asset modelling), validating model runs, and collaborating with Investment to assess impact on liability valuation. Manages a 2-3 person actuarial team, supports quarterly/annual reports (LICAT, risk reports, AAR, Board materials), and drives model improvements in DR processes and AXIS workflows. Requires an undergraduate actuarial degree with 7+ years of actuarial experience; preferred Fellow status (FSA or equivalent). Proficiency with GGY AXIS is required; SQL, Tableau, and R are assets. Strong leadership, analytical, and collaborative skills are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science or related field; minimum 7+ years actuarial experience
  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent preferred
  • Experience with GGY AXIS platform required
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Tableau and R considered an asset
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
  • Deep understanding of actuarial principles, valuation modeling, and DR processes
  • Ability to support quarterly/annual reports (LICAT, risk reports, AAR, Board materials)
  • Actuarial modeling and analytics skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
