Job Summary
Lead actuarial reserving and SAO duties as Associate Director of Actuarial. Oversee quarterly/annual reserving, including IBNR and statutory reserves; develop and maintain models for forecasting, reserving, and risk adjustment; serve as Appointed Actuary with regulatory filings and SAO. Provide trend and premium analyses, collaborate with Finance/Underwriting/Sales, mentor a team of actuaries, and present findings to executives and the Board. Requires strong actuarial experience in health insurance and leadership, with proficiency in SQL/SAS/Python.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
- Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
- Eligibility to serve as an Appointed Actuary under all applicable state and federal requirements
- 8+ years of progressive actuarial experience in health insurance
- 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Experience in Individual/ACA, Group Commercial, and Medicare lines of business (pricing, reserving, risk adjustment, regulatory compliance)
- Proficiency in actuarial modeling software and data analysis tools (SQL, SAS, Python)
