Job Summary

Proactively provide in-person or virtual education to defined accounts within assigned geographies on access and reimbursement topics, focusing on complex systems of care and integrated delivery networks. Serve as the patient access and reimbursement lead in business-to-business conversations, managing pull-through of strategy and downstream operations while analyzing account reimbursement issues and offering solutions. Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Engagement, Market Access, and other departments to share insights on customer needs and barriers, ensuring alignment with product strategy. Educate healthcare professionals on buy-and-bill end-to-end processes, workflows, and facility pull-through in scenarios involving centralized or decentralized acquisition and alternate sites of care. This field-based role requires residing within the Thousand Oaks, CA territory or within a 60-mile commuting distance, with 60-80% travel over a broad geography including Bakersfield, Oxnard, and Lancaster. A valid driver's license is an essential function, and the position involves managing multiple projects with deep expertise in local payer policy coverage and manufacturer support programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ Years of experience in pharmaceuticals / biotech industry focused in Patient Services, Market Access, Sales, and/or account management
  • 2 of those years being in a Patient Services practice support role for a specialty product(s)
  • Experience working with highly complex practices and/or health systems to establish access and acquisition pathways
  • Strategic account management experience using a proactive approach to anticipate access hurdles impacting accounts and patient access
  • Deep expertise and experience integrating manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs
  • Experience with specialty products acquired through Specialty Pharmacy networks
  • Knowledge of reimbursement pathways (specialty pharmacy, buy-and-bill, retail)
  • Must reside within territory, or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 60 miles from territory
  • Ability to travel 60-80% over a broad geography
  • Ability to drive and/or fly within the territory
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Fully valid and unrestricted driver's license
