Associate Dir Development III (IC)

Job Summary
Lead a diverse fundraising program as Associate Director of Development III, managing donor relationships across corporate, foundation, institutions, and individual donors; develop multi-year strategies, cultivate major gifts including $75k+, manage budgets and proposal development, and collaborate across chapters; travel frequently and on short notice, including weekends, to support fundraising initiatives; staff chapter leadership and manage trustee relationships; utilize the Conservancy’s donor database to track and cultivate prospects; contribute to education and informing prospects about appropriate giving vehicles and charitable options; engage in capital campaigns, gifts of assets, and blended gifts aligned with organizational priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 7 years related experience
- Experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with constituents such as major donors and corporations
- Experience in asking for and closing gifts of $75,000 or more, including planned gifts
- Experience in managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors
- Experience working with fundraising principles and practices
- Experience, coursework, or other training in current and evolving trends in charitable giving, particularly in the areas of capital campaigns, major gifts and planned giving
