Job Summary
Associate Designer will create and interpret concepts to generate final products for a specific brand, collaborating across departments from initial concept through production across multiple brands. The role requires strong garment development, moodboards, tech packs, CADs, line guides, fabric sourcing, fittings, BOM management, and the ability to translate sales data into design ranges within the brand’s identity. They will work with design leadership to execute design concepts, support product development, and mentor assistants, contributing to a fast-paced, growth-oriented owned-brand design team in Los Angeles. The position emphasizes independent work, organizational skills, cross-functional collaboration, and an eye for market-relevant trends while delivering high-quality product within cost parameters.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4-5+ years in Fashion Design
- Leadership or management experience
- Must submit a portfolio or work sample to be considered
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Advanced visual and written communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of fabrics across categories
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
