Job Summary
Associate Designer needed to collaborate with the design team on seasonal collections. Responsibilities include opening and building tech packs with precise information, assisting with general design room duties (style numbers, sample photography, vendor coordination), sourcing materials, attending fittings, and contributing brand-right, strategic ideas to concepts. Candidate should have 2+ years in the apparel industry, a Degree in Apparel or Fashion, and be proficient with CAD and Adobe (Photoshop & Illustrator). Strong sketching, color sensibility, pattern knowledge, and an ability to work independently and as part of a team are required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience in the apparel industry
- Degree in Apparel or Fashion
- Experience with CAD and Adobe (Photoshop & Illustrator) software
- Flat sketching skills
- Color sensibility
- Pattern knowledge
- Knowledge of the wash & dye process, embellishments & different fabrics
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Effective time management and ability to stay organized
- Able to adapt to a fast-paced ever-changing environment
