Job Summary
Prepare technical packages and seasonal presentation boards while executing accurate flat sketches and tech packs across multiple product categories. Conduct store, runway, and trend research to supplement inspiration decks, then transform design concepts into commercially viable products meeting brand aesthetics and cost parameters. Partner with Technical Design, Merchandising, overseas offices, and vendors to streamline communication and ensure on-time delivery. This Associate Designer role supports the New York Women's Design team for Rafaella and Laundry by Shelli Segal brands, requiring 2-3 years of fashion design experience and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in fashion design
- Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design or a related field
- A strong portfolio demonstrating fashion sketching, comprehensive tech packs, and trend presentation decks
- Expertise in Adobe Illustrator
- Experience working across multiple brands or high-volume corporate retail accounts
