Job Summary
Design leather goods, small accessories, and new product silhouettes from concept through pre-production samples, adhering to the seasonal design calendar. Develop detailed technical specifications using Adobe Illustrator, create seasonal color cards, and generate CADs for color options. Conduct market and high fashion research to inform product design while maintaining inspiration boards and component libraries. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development and Merchandising, to respond to creative briefs and present projects to the Commercial Creative Director. Review development samples, track modifications, and communicate technical information to factories to ensure design goals are met.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Art or Fashion or Accessories
- 4-7 years design experience
- organized and with strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in both digital and hand sketching techniques
- Strong proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Excellent taste level and brand awareness
- Strong sense of color, fashion, product, and trend knowledge
- Exceptional organizational, time management, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Be able to work on multiple projects with different deadlines, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills
