Job Summary
Associate Designer for men’s outdoor and workwear apparel, collaborating with Design, Product Development, and Production to bring product concepts to life. Responsible for CAD development, tech pack creation, material organization, approvals management, and vendor communications to ensure production reflects the intended design vision. Key activities include preparing production-ready tech packs, coordinating fabric/trim/artwork files, reviewing lab dips and strike-offs, resolving construction and fit challenges, and supporting seasonal product development with fabric, trim, wash, and print research. Strong focus on apparel construction, fit, graphics, print development, and production processes with experience working with mills, factories, and overseas vendors. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel; ability to manage multiple styles/deadlines and maintain color standards and production documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in apparel design, product development, production, or related field
- Strong understanding of apparel construction, materials, trims, wash techniques, print development, and packaging components
- Experience working with mills, factories, and overseas vendors
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel
- Strong CAD skills for detailed technical CAD drawings
- Ability to create/modify colorways, technical sketches, and print layouts for development and production
- Experience preparing print, pattern, and graphic artwork files for vendor development and production execution
