Job Summary
Associate Design Manager for the New Restaurant Opening Design Studio at CAVA. This hybrid role requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the Brooklyn design office and supports the design and execution of new restaurant projects across CAVA’s expanding national footprint. You’ll collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, external consultants, landlords, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with brand and operational standards. You will manage design activities from pre-lease through construction administration, develop preliminary test fits and lease exhibits, coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, kitchen consultants, signage vendors, and other project partners, review due diligence and site assessments, support construction field issues, conduct site visits, travel to project sites, and contribute to brand stewardship and continuous improvement of design standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Design, or related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in hospitality, restaurant, retail, or commercial design
- Experience supporting multi-unit rollout programs within restaurants, retail, or hospitality environments
- Knowledge of restaurant planning, health code requirements, and restaurant infrastructure systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with rendering and 3D visualization tools
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative approach across departments and external partners
- Ability to travel up to 25%
