Job Summary
Associate Design Director to lead end-to-end design efforts across healthcare, clinical, and enterprise digital initiatives. The role blends hands-on creative work with design leadership, mentoring, and delivery excellence while partnering with stakeholders to elevate the design portfolio. Responsibilities include setting design strategy and execution, providing hands-on direction across concepts, flows, interaction models, visual systems, and prototyping; acting as the design authority balancing business goals, scientific complexity, and user needs; mentoring junior and senior designers; driving design reviews and shared best practices; and collaborating with leadership to raise the bar on quality and impact. Required expertise spans experience, interaction, and visual design, design systems, and capability to translate complex scientific or technical content into user-centered solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, a player/coach mindset, and a track record of leading design in complex or enterprise environments are essential. The role is full-time with occasional travel; pay range is $95K–$120K USD.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of experience in product, UX, or digital design, with demonstrated leadership responsibility
- Strong portfolio demonstrating hands-on design execution and creative leadership
- Experience leading design efforts within healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated or enterprise environments preferred
