Job Summary
Develop and revise nursing curriculum aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Plan instruction through syllabus creation and assessment strategy design, then deliver adaptive teaching across face-to-face, online, and hybrid environments. Assess student achievement using formative and summative strategies to inform continuous improvement of learning opportunities. Promote learner persistence by utilizing student support services and maintaining an inclusive classroom that addresses barriers. Mentor high school teachers offering articulated courses and participate in the ADN accreditation process. Advise nursing students and model employability essentials including critical thinking and professional communication.
Required Qualifications
- A graduate degree with a major in nursing
- Candidate who holds a baccalaureate degree in nursing and actively enrolled and showing proof of progress in a master' program with a major in nursing, a bachelor's in nursing to doctorate program in nursing, or a doctorate program in nursing
- Minimum of two years (4,000 hours) occupational nursing experience
- Direct care experience as a practicing nurse within the past five years
- Current, active, unencumbered registered nurse license or privilege to practice in the State of Wisconsin
- Eligibility to obtain a registered nurse license in the State of Minnesota
- Ability to obtain driver's license and insurance coverage in accordance with College policy
Desired Qualifications
- Teaching experience in an associate degree nursing program
- Certification as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE)
