Job Summary
Oversee undergraduate medical education, including curriculum, assessment, accreditation, and educational innovation. Guide the evolution of an innovative, learner-centered curriculum ensuring seamless integration across pre-clinical and clinical years while advancing emerging areas such as health systems science, artificial intelligence, and point-of-care ultrasound. Mentor course and clerkship directors, foster collaboration among faculty and academic leaders, and cultivate strong relationships with health systems and community stakeholders to expand clinical education opportunities. Report to the Vice Dean for Medical Education at Florida Atlantic University's Schmidt College of Medicine in Boca Raton.
Required Qualifications
- An M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of a U.S.-accredited residency program
- Credentials that merit appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor
- Board certification or board eligibility in their specialty
- A current U.S. medical license
- Eligibility for Florida licensure
- Significant leadership experience in undergraduate medical education
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation
- Experience in faculty development
- Experience in accreditation
- Successful completion of all employment screenings
- Passing of all employment screenings
- Criminal background check (level I and level II)
- Motor vehicle check
- Credit check
- Reference checks
- Alcohol and drug screening check
- Submission of an official transcript sent directly from the institution
- Evaluation by an organization belonging to the National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES) for degrees from outside the United States
