Associate Database Administrator

Job Summary
Plan, develop, and execute technical support activities for users and database infrastructure maintenance services, both remotely and on-site. Provide guidance by registering, analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving database-related requests, while troubleshooting issues and supporting migrations, service implementations, and technology transfers. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure reliability, monitor performance and availability to identify issues proactively, and administer management systems adhering to security best practices. Ensure compliance with SLA requirements regarding response times, escalations, and downtime communications, and maintain technical documentation for long-term sustainability. Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and support teams to ensure seamless operations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting and administering databases in Production, Testing, and Development environments
- SQL Server
- Oracle
- Understanding of database administration fundamentals, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance
- Experience administering backup and storage solutions
- Knowledge of database security concepts, backup and recovery processes, and performance monitoring
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic support environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong customer-service mindset
- Intermediate English level
- 12x36 Schedule
- Night Shift (10:00 PM – 10:00 AM)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
- Experience working with cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell, PowerShell, or Unix scripting
- SQL Server and/or Oracle certifications
- Exposure to financial services or enterprise-scale environments
