Job Summary
Advise on privacy, data protection, GDPR, and commercial contracts, including drafting data sharing agreements, policies, and procedures. Conduct gap analysis, risk assessments, and data protection impact assessments while monitoring regulatory developments. Investigate data breaches and execute remedial work, providing ongoing client training and support to other business units. Requires minimum 3 years' PQE with strong technical drafting and analytical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associate with minimum 3 years' PQE
- Advise on Privacy, data protection, GDPR and commercial contracts
- Advise on Data sharing and data processing agreements
- Advise on Data protection policies and procedures
- Advise on Data protection in commercial contracts and transactions
- Advise on Online terms and conditions, e-privacy and direct marketing
- Conduct Gap analysis/risk assessment/data protection impact assessments
- Monitor and respond to developments in data protection and information security
- Provide support to other business units as required on data protection issues
- Provide ongoing training and support to clients
- Investigate data breaches and carry out remedial work in the aftermath of data breaches
- A minimum of 3 years' experience with a background in data protection/GDPR experience, regulation, corporate and commercial contracts
- Excellent technical and drafting skills
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Strong commercial awareness/business acumen
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- High level of motivation with the ability to work on own initiative
