Job Summary

Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients while reviewing disclosure and attending daily courts for remands. Schedule pre-trials and judicial pre-trials, conduct legal research and analysis on various issues, and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files throughout the case lifecycle. This Associate Criminal Defense Lawyer role is remote but requires a license to practice in Ontario and two to five years of experience. The firm is expanding with multiple offices opening across Ontario, offering a robust career advancement path within a collaborative environment.

Required Qualifications

  • license to practice law in Ontario
  • good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • two to five years of experience in criminal law
  • Strong advocacy and courtroom skills
  • thorough understanding and expertise in criminal defense matters
  • charges, trials, and pleas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
