Job Summary
Develop creative campaigns and oversee projects by collaborating with art directors, science specialists, and account teams to formulate concepts for print, digital, video, and environmental channels. Present and articulate creative copy grounded in strategy while monitoring all assigned projects to ensure timely delivery and adherence to brand goals. Supervise copy supervisors and senior copywriters, managing timelines with production personnel to complete work on schedule. Articulate thoughtful rationale for work to internal and external stakeholders, incorporating feedback from clients and supervisors. Remains current on industry trends and technology while diving into complex science to convey key ideas to target audiences.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of related work experience in advertising, marketing, at a pharmaceutical agency
- The ability to execute copy skillfully across multiple channels, including print, video and digital (websites, online banners, social media, etc.)
- Strong conceptual skills as demonstrated by your portfolio of work
- The ability to dive into complex science and technologies and glean key ideas and information to convey to target audiences that meets the objective
- An understanding of agency and creative collaboration processes
- Ability to present and sell an idea to internal teams and with clients
- Ability to manage several projects at once
- Understanding of and expertise in pharma copy requirements: claims, references
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat tools
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant experience, a background in B2B, and/or an ability to quickly decipher marketing assignments for complex clients
- A scientific background, such as experience working as a science journalist, pharma advertising copywriter, biotech writer, or life sciences copywriter
