Job Summary
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including NDAs, master services agreements, and vendor contracts while identifying legal risks and providing practical recommendations to internal stakeholders. Conduct legal research on Philippine and international laws, support data privacy initiatives, and assist with corporate governance, regulatory filings, and employment matters under senior legal leadership. Coordinate with cross-functional teams on compliance, vendor onboarding, and process improvements, maintaining accurate records of all legal materials. Manage assigned legal projects from intake through completion, communicating regulatory changes to stakeholders. Requires a licensed Philippine attorney with 2–4 years of experience, working 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. PHT during April through October.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor, Bachelor of Laws, or equivalent law degree
- Active member in good standing of the Philippine Bar
- Approximately two to four years of relevant legal experience
- Prior experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Strong foundation in contract interpretation, legal research, issue spotting, and legal writing
- Able to distinguish between material legal risks and routine business issues and to recommend practical next steps
- Comfortable working under the supervision of senior counsel while independently managing routine matters
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills across email, Slack, video calls, and formal legal documents
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy
- Highly attentive to detail without losing sight of broader business objectives
- Curious, resourceful, and willing to ask thoughtful questions when additional guidance is needed
- Sound professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive matters
- Proactive and comfortable taking ownership of assignments from beginning to completion
- Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities may shift quickly
- Comfortable working U.S. business hours
- Must have a reliable computer, internet connection, and backup connectivity
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the Philippines at hire and must maintain authorization to work in the Philippines throughout their employment with our company
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a law firm or corporate legal department is preferred
- Experience supporting technology, media, marketing, software, advertising, or lead-generation businesses is a plus
