Job Summary
Provide commercially sound advice on legal issues for commercial and revenue-generating opportunities across IMG and TKO properties. Draft general commercial contracts and assist with new projects as they arise. Liaise with internal and international legal teams to ensure best practices are shared and utilized. Advise clients on robust terms while ensuring colleagues engage the Legal team at the outset of any commercial discussion. Occasionally travel to other London offices and work unsociable hours or early/late calls to meet business deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Fully qualified Solicitor
- 1-3 years PQE
- Experience of drafting general commercial contracts
- Worked in a commercial environment
- Training in top tier legal practice
- The ability to assimilate and understand salient points of commercial opportunities with both speed and accuracy
- Excellent written and spoken English with a meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to juggle and prioritise a varied and heavy workload with the ability to plan ahead
- Able to work to deadlines with efficiency and accuracy
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely with clients of all levels both internally and externally
- Team orientated and focused
- Ability to develop a rapport with immediate and wider colleagues
- Disciplined, hard-working and committed
- An enthusiasm for and interest in sport, media and entertainment
- Occasional travel to other offices in London
- Occasionally there will be early or late calls to facilitate meetings and briefings with the wider global legal team
- You may also be required to work some unsociable hours to meet business deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of drafting media rights/production, sponsorship, supplier and agency representation contracts
- Experience of working with cultural and sports organisations
- Experience of working with high level executives in own and client/customer organisations
- Has an interest in sport, media and live events
