Job Summary
Provide counsel on legal issues to the Property Claim organization and partner with clients and outside counsel to manage litigation arising from property insurance claims. Research legal principles and precedent while proactively identifying and communicating risk to internal and external customers. Draft, negotiate, and execute legal documents, making effective use of technology and automation in the practice of law. This individual contributor role covers homeowners, commercial property, ocean marine, inland marine, equipment breakdown, builders risk, boat/yacht, fidelity, and other insurance policies under the supervision of senior lawyers. The position requires a Juris Doctorate, an active license to practice law, and 2-3 years of prior legal experience in insurance law with a focus on coverage and litigation.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of prior legal experience in insurance law with a focus on insurance coverage
- 2-3 years of litigation experience
- Juris Doctorate or equivalent International legal degree
- graduate of an accredited law school
- Active license (in good standing) to practice law in the state(s) in which representation is required

- Prior experience working in an insurance claims capacity
