Job Summary
Lead cost management across a European lease portfolio, ensuring effective budget control, forecasting, and cost optimisation. Manage operational and capital expenditure within leased environments, actively participate in tender processes for analysis and commercial evaluation, and drive change management to identify and implement cost impacts. Provide portfolio-level cost planning, benchmarking, and reporting to support strategic decision-making, while analysing supplier proposals for value and compliance. Support final account preparation, including lease exit costs and claims, and oversee portfolio spend through regular variance analysis. Mentor junior team members and collaborate with regional stakeholders to ensure consistent commercial governance. Requires 7–8+ years in cost management, ideally within a lease or real estate environment, with a preference for data centre experience.
Required Qualifications
- 7–8+ years' experience in cost management / quantity surveying
- experience managing costs across multiple projects or portfolios
- experience within a lease or real estate environment
- strong experience in commercial management, cost planning, and financial control
- exposure to data centre, mission-critical, or large scale infrastructure projects
- chartered
- degree or equivalent experience in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Construction related discipline
- highly proficient in cost reporting, financial analysis, and stakeholder communication
- comfortable working in a remote/hybrid environment
- strong commercial acumen
- attention to detail
- the ability to influence decision-making at a senior level
