Job Summary
Develop and update financial models to support long-range financial planning and the 5-year strategic business plan, including key assumptions and inputs for forecasts. Prepare materials to communicate strategic direction and business performance against growth KPIs to key stakeholders and the Executive Leadership Team. Support shareholder reporting, quarterly board reports, and external stakeholder analyses for financing initiatives and refinancing. Contribute to the monthly forecast and annual strategic planning processes, optimizing credit facilities and new financing to execute on the strategic plan. Fulfill ad-hoc requests from Private Equity sponsors and act as a finance subject matter expert for future strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional accounting or finance designation (e.g. CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent)
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in Corporate Finance, banking, valuation or business planning
- Experience with structured finance
- Experience in advisory (valuation or transaction services) or private equity
- Ability to interpret financial data to understand identify trends, assess commercial impacts, and communicate results with reference to underlying business drivers
- Proficiency in excel, including financial modelling skills
- Understanding of key valuation metrics e.g. IRR, NPV, leverage etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills and experience communicating with the leadership functions
- A self-starter with strong attention to detail and a focus on meeting deadlines
- Ability to prioritize, critically analyze, solve and where appropriate, escalate issues
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Power Point
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in advisory (valuation or transaction services) or private equity is considered an asset
- experience with structured finance is beneficial
