Job Summary
Advise on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ventures, IPOs, and securities offerings on the Official List and AIM. Draft, review, and negotiate key corporate documents including SPAs, shareholder agreements, investment agreements, and disclosure letters. Manage a varied and complex caseload with appropriate supervision while delivering high-quality, commercial advice tailored to clients' needs. Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments, support junior team member development, and contribute to business development initiatives. Keep up to date with changes in the law and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives. Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 2–4 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, particularly M&A and private equity. Based in the Cheltenham office.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent)
- 2–4 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law
- Strong experience in corporate transactional work, particularly in M&A and private equity
- Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail
- Commercial acumen with the ability to understand clients' business objectives
- Strong organisational and project management skills; able to handle multiple matters efficiently under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and a willingness to contribute to the wider success of the team
- Ambition to progress to Senior Associate and beyond
