Job Summary
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities for Benelux entities by preparing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining high-quality accounting records. Own selected recurring controllership activities, optimizing them through automation, standardization, or transition to Shared Service Centers. Assist with US GAAP and local Dutch/Belgian GAAP applications while monitoring accounting risks, and act as a key contact for statutory audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests. Contribute to process documentation, control improvement initiatives, and regional finance projects. Work from the Heerlen office two days per week reporting to the Northern Europe Regional Controller.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2 to 5 years of experience in accounting, audit, controllership, or finance operations
- Solid understanding of balance sheet accounts, reconciliations, and statutory accounting principles
- Exposure to US GAAP and/or local statutory accounting
- Fluency in English
- Work from the Heerlen office two days per week
