Associate Content Design Specialist with Korean

Job Summary
Check content in various languages to ensure it does not contain design errors, tracking omissions, inaccuracies, and visibility issues from OCR, translation, and desktop publishing tasks. Correct, remove, add, and format content portions to prepare source material for translation and ensure translated output is meaningful before delivery to local customers. Collaborate with Project Managers, reviewers, and post-editors to resolve issues quickly, define identified problems clearly, and coordinate team efforts to maintain time and cost effectiveness. Document major quality issues with the Associate Director and Head of Operational Excellence to contribute to continuous improvement of quality control and assurance processes within the translation supply chain.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in Korean including vocabulary, terminology, syntax, grammar and spelling
- Fluency in English – written and spoken
- At least two years of experience proofreading, editing, formatting validating content in at least two languages including the mother tongue is a must
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in a linguistic, business or scientific field OR at least 2 years of experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a translator, a linguist and/or a DTP specialist is a strong asset, yet not a must
- Experience in project management is a strong asset
- Proven experience working with projects involving large amounts of content is desirable
- Knowledge of software QA, QC, DTP and/or OCR methodologies, tools, and processes is beneficial
- Experience working in international environments is beneficial
- Experience using CAT tools or content editing tools is beneficial
- Experience mentoring people and coordinating team efforts is beneficial
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Continued attention to detail and problem-solving actions
- Ability to work independently and proactively, as part of a team and with diverse teams
