Job Summary
Review and interpret laws and regulations to develop testing plans and establish appropriate scopes for individual reviews. Conduct and document testing reviews to assess adherence to regulations, internal policies, and applicable legislation. Engage with Compliance SMEs to address concerns, validate results, and summarize findings in clear language. Detect potential compliance issues, advise management on risks, and track identified issues to closure via periodic follow-ups. Coordinate testing efforts with Internal Audit, challenge management responses, and mentor junior employees. Validate that corrective actions have been adequately closed and share results with business unit partners.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years related to compliance, compliance testing/monitoring or auditing
- Educated to graduate (or equivalent)
- Analytical ability to identify and understand problems as well as to provide effective solutions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Confidence and expertise to advise and challenge senior management and the business
- Ability to make decisions on their own
- Ability to deal effectively with multiple competing deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant certifications or advanced degree a plus
- Knowledge of regulations and key regulatory developments would be an advantage
- Highly motivated individual who has a proven record of using initiative to resolve problems
